Macerated Louisiana Strawberries
Ingredients
- 1 pint fresh Louisiana strawberries (washed, hulled and quartered)
- 2 teaspoon lime juice
- 2 tablespoons orange blossom honey
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- pinch salt
- 1/4 cup Tawny Port (I use brandy when I am out of Port)
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients in a glass ontainer and stir gently.
- Seal container (air tight) and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
